To provide examples of effective 21st century teaching and learning strategies in order to assist in the development of more engaged and motivated classrooms. To provide multimedia Podcasts and articles to facilitate an understanding of how to implement technology and multimedia in classrooms regardless of content area. To encourage independent and personalized learning by teaching students to enjoy the process of learning. To assist teachers in becoming facilitators of learning.
2013 Budget for CTE
President Obama has announced his budget requests for education in the upcoming year, including his request for Career and Technical Education.
He has proposed a sum of “$1.13 billion to support the reauthorization and reform of the Career and Technical Education program so that what students learn is more closely aligned with the demands of the workforce, linkages to postsecondary education are strengthened, and the Department can provide funding to promote innovation and reform in CTE.”Click here to read more.
