QR Code Scavenger Hunt

Quick Response (QR) Codes have become widely recognized as a means to transmit information. In a classroom setting, teachers can implement QR codes into various lessons in order to better engage their students. I took this idea a step further and created a timed QR code scavenger hunt that I deploy during the first few days of school.

Basically, the students scan QR codes posted around the school using an iPad, interpret the clues, go to those locations and take photos of those locations. They earn points for every correct photo and for the order in which they finish the task. This is a great way for students to learn how to communicate, work together in a group, and develop time management skills.
