Christopher Tully Named Great American Teach-Off Finalist
The Great American Teach-Off is a contest sponsored by the online community GOOD and University of Phoenix with a goal of showcasing the best and brightest in America’s classrooms. I recently had the great pleasure of being nominated to take part in The Great American Teach-Off because of my innovative teaching style. Hundreds of teachers nationwide were nominated, and I was selected as one of only ten finalists chosen by a panel of partnering organizations.
After a voting period of five weeks, the winning teacher will receive a $10,000 grant for their classroom. But in order to progress through the competition, I need your support and your votes! This is how the process works:
1. Finalists will post short videos to YouTube answering questions posed by the contest organizers.
2. Each week, America votes for their favorite teacher and decides who should move on to the next round of competition.
3. The two teachers with the fewest number of votes will be eliminated each week.
4. Supporters may only vote once per day and will need to sign into GOOD.
What makes this process so rewarding for me personally is watching how my students have embraced this nomination and want to be involved in the creation of these videos. I am truly honored to take part in The Great American Teach-Off, and am excited about the possibility of receiving the grant to share with my students and improve our classroom.
Please vote daily by clicking here, or by visiting the GOOD website.
Thanks for your support!
