MBIT Student Honored by Chamber of Commerce
The Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce recently honored six young people for their acts of service, character and courage. This is an annual recognition of young citizens who “ ‘have been nominated by the community for demonstrating exceptional commitment to the principles of good citizenship and community involvement,’ said Amanda Soler, the Chamber's deputy executive director of operations.” One of this year’s recipients is Patrick Meyer, a student in the Multimedia Technology Program at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology in Jamison, PA.
I was extremely proud to nominate Pat, as I have had the pleasure of being his Multimedia Technology Instructor for the past three years. Pat’s hard work, dedication and positive attitude make him a true inspiration to his classmates. His documentary, “Anything is Possible,” was created with the hope of inspiring other students with autism to be proud of who they are. Pat’s film not only won “Best Student Documentary” and “Fan Favorite” at the Bucks Fever Film Fest, it also was honored as “Best Student Documentary” at the WHYY Youth Media Awards.Click here to watch “Anything is Possible”
